I adapted this video from a TV advert on Thai television to fit social media posts of 1:1 aspect ratio. Some of the shots required adapting graphics, or painting in extra fake background above the shot and tracking it in to fit the change in aspect – where simply cropping wouldn’t work. I recently worked with the guys at Imotion Media to create this fun little music video. The brief was to take some green screen footage of the band’s lead members and find a treatment/narrative that works with the ethos and feel of the song. Webcam controlled 3D Earth

Playing around some more with my webcam, I cooked up this 3D Earth with Papervision and made it controllable through a webcam (if you have one). The motion detection is rather flaky, since it tracks the centre-point of a whole area of motion – if you move a lot it will just get confused 🙂
