Google Stadia and Unity

Google recently announced they’re getting into games in a BIG way. What does this mean for Unity developers?

So, basically a Google Xbox… Gbox? Expect to start watching adverts in the middle of your games 😉 The good news: Unity will indeed be supporting Stadia as just another target platform. However, at the time of writing, their Stadia support appears to be running as a closed tech preview only. Notes for developers: Stadia uses the Vulkan renderer, but is IL2CPP based – something to be aware of if you plan to port old games to the platform.
